Join the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida in celebrating its 3000th Wish! J.P. from Davenport, Florida wished to meet the Orlando Magic, including his favorite players, Dwight Howard and Carlos Arroyo. J.P. 's wish was granted at the Amway Arena on December 10th. 2008 Wishmaker's Ball Saturday, June 7 Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate The black-tie event is our signature gala and one of our largest fundraising events. This year we are thrilled to be hosting it at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate on Saturday, June 7. Hosted by Jim Payne and Martha Sugalski from WESH 2 News, the evening will include dinner, silent and live auctions, entertainment from Rock Demarco, the "world's fastest painter", and special apperances from our wish children. Experience the joy of granting wishes while dancing, dining, bidding, and being inspired by our wish children. Bridesmaids’ Ball
Join the Suncoast Make-A-Wish Foundation as we make good on those bridal promises that you WILL wear that dress again! Saturday, July 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Suncoast MAW presents the first annual Bachelors and Bridesmaids’ Ball. Pull out that ruffled peach taffeta with puff sleeves, or the "Pepto-pink" gown with a bow on the back; hideous rules in this celebration of bad bridal wear! A “Once Was Enough” award will be presented to the maid with the most hideous attire, and guys share in the bad fashion glory, too, with a "terrible tux" contest. Bachelors’ and Bridesmaids' Ball is a mock reception that will include all that is fun about weddings; heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts, open bar, live music and reception dance classics. All funds raised from the event go toward the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
